A Man’s Guide To Dealing With The Effects Of Aging

As guys, we don’t tend to think about age that much. Then, one day, we reach our thirties and bang, it hits us. We start thinking about getting old and what will happen to us as we get older. It panics us because we worry about going bald or having back problems that mean we can’t do things we used to love.

It leads to us freaking out and having a bit of a mid-life crisis where we get super stressed. Which, ironically, only helps to enhance the aging process and brings out some of the bad effects we’re worried about! So, the main question is what can we do to deal with growing older?

Firstly, I want to start by saying don’t worry. Getting older is unavoidable, and you need to get that stuck into your mind right away. You can’t cheat age, it just isn’t going to happen. However, what you can do is deal with the effects of aging. You can try multiple things to ensure you look and feel a lot younger than you might be. Postpone Balding

Hair loss is undoubtedly the biggest fear for every man. We all love having a thick head of hair that we can style however we want. Plus, going bald instantly makes you feel a lot older. Unfortunately, it’s a very natural effect of aging. As we get older, our hair falls out, and we start to go bald.

But, you can do various things to postpone balding for as long as possible. The first is to take better care of your hair and use a natural shampoo free from bad chemicals. If possible, use something that includes biotin as this vitamin helps keep hair thick and strong. Secondly, consider taking hair loss medication. Things like Finasteride tablets are used in men with hair loss to help promote the growth of hair follicles. Thirdly, avoid wearing hats as they can lead to early hair loss. Finally, make sure you’re eating a good diet full of essential nutrients. Things like fish contain loads of good fatty acids and oils that help prevent hair loss.

By doing all of this, you will delay the signs of balding and feel more confident and young!

Conceal Grey Hairs

Along with balding, grey hairs are a common effect of aging. You instantly feel old when you start seeing grey hairs appearing in your hair. It can freak you out as you think you’re only a few days away from turning into an old man.

In reality, grey hairs are nothing to worry about as they can easily be handled. All you have to do is get some hair dye and cover the grey bits. Try and find some dye that’s as clean and natural as possible, so you don’t damage your hair or cause hair loss. It’s a really quick fix and will last for a fair while before the dye washes out.

Keep applying the dye when necessary, and you will avoid grey hairs for as long as possible.

Keep Yourself Fit

One of the biggest effects of aging is that you start to lose your fitness and get out of shape. It feels like the older you get, the fatter you get. If you haven’t already succumbed to the dad bod, you probably will when you hit your thirties.

But, it doesn’t have to be this way. Yes, gaining weight is pretty much a natural part of getting older. It happens because we get busier and have less time to exercise compared to when we were young and childless. However, this isn’t an excuse for giving in and getting fat. Keep yourself fit by exercising every morning or evening before/after work. Go for runs with your pet dog or play football with your kids. Mainly, keep yourself active and on your feet, so your weight never suffers.

Also, eat better too and don’t get sucked into buying fast food because you’re ‘busy.’ Doing all this helps you deal with weight gain as you get older, and keeps you in shape.

By using this advice, you can counter some of the obvious effects of aging. It will keep you feeling a lot younger, which makes you worry less about getting old. After all, if you have a full head of coloured hair and are still in great shape, you don’t have much to worry about!
